Thurlestone
The village centre of Thurlestone is very pretty, with old stone buildings, thatched roofs and a narrow main street. The Thurlestone hotel and adjoining Inn are both in the centre of the village, the latter forming the focus of village life.
There are two big beaches, both with ample space, parking and bathing. The sand is coarse / fine, and the view from the larger beach, South Milton Sands, is dominated by the Thurlestone Rock, which standing proud in the bay.
Thurlestone is popular for golf, with two courses: one at the hotel, and the other at the golf club. Stunning views can be had from both. South Milton is a picturesque unspoilt village just inland from South Milton sands. The nature reserve pictured below, lies between this village and the beach.
